Deviousness |

A peculiar group to the Japanese might have acted of unconsciousness though the title of this comic was decided with mind in neutral.
However, I think that the tone is a little strong when assuming, "Wash a hands!!" by the imperative.
I really thank for there being one holding out a helping hand in this way...!!
Far Right Column: "Let's Wash a Hand!" I am not sure if this is a saying or something. In English we would say, "Let's Wash Hands!" or "Let's Wash (His/Her/Our/Their/Its) Hands!" I think you are meaning to say, "Let's Wash Hands!" since this is kind of about keeping hands clean after using the restroom.
"Covering" title
I do not know why this is called "covering." Could you maybe explain to me why you chose this word?
"Covering" Column, panel 1:
Shepard: "How is Javik doing?"
EDI: "It is likely he does not yet understand our habits. After he used the restroom the other day, he did not wash his hands."
"Covering" Column, panel 2:
Shepard: "Hey, Javik. You know, you're free to ask me questions if you don't understand something."
Javik: "No, thank you. Underdeveloped civilizations have no advice to offer."
"Covering" Column, panel 3:
Shepard: "I only bring it up because you don't seem to get our restroom etiquette."
(Liara's text is fine.)
I actually don't know what you are trying to have Javik say. Maybe, "What?? I was merely exploring the ship!"
"Covering" Column, panel 4:
Liara: "Protheans do not defecate!" I assume you are saying that Protheans either do not create poop or do not need to use restrooms. "Shit" is an offensive word for poop. "Shit" also means "nothing" in low culture slang. So, to an English speaker, it sounds like Liara is saying Javik does not do anything. Since Liara is a scientist and has studied the Protheans a lot, I chose the most scientific term in the English language for poop. It is not so scientific that people will not understand it.
"A Scholar of Asari Watches This" title
"A scholar of asari" is a person who studies asari. I think you mean "An asari scholar," which is someone who is asari and is also a scholar. However, in the English version of the game, Liara is called a scientist or an archeologist, not a scholar (though she is a bit of all of these). I suggest, "An Asari Scientist Watches" or "The Asari Scientist Watches" (using "the" instead of "An" tells us that it is definitely Liara, since we know her as the asari scientist) or maybe "The Shadow Broker Watches" since Liara is also the Shadow Broker and sneaks around getting information on things.
"A Scholar of Asari Watches This" panel 1:
Text: Again, I do not quite know what you are saying here. Liara stays in the room, but watches and is hidden? (Do not use that sentence! It is TERRIBLE English!) Also, who is the "I?" Is that Javik or Shepard? I have no suggestions here. Too many questions.
"A Scholar of Asari Watches This" panel 2:
This one is fine.
"A Scholar of Asari Watches This" panel 3:
Shepard: "Hmm."
Javik: "What are you laughing at?? Do you not understand me?"
"A Scholar of Asari Watches This" panel 4:
I really do not know what you are saying here. Maybe Shepard is asking Javik if he would not wash a hand if it was Liara's hand? And I cannot figure out Javik at all. Who is the fool? What is not to be avoided?
"Love Affair!?" title
This one is fine.
"Love Affair!?" panel 1:
Javik: I am not sure what you mean by "It is wrong." What is wrong? Washing hands? Also, I think maybe you mean for Javik to be telling her she is not understanding him? "It is your misunderstanding" is an accusation. It is an attack. I think you mean for him to be apologizing? If yes, then I suggest, "Wait! This is wrong. You do not understand."
"Love Affair!?" panel 2:
Javik: "I did not know that communication between us would be so difficult." "Communication" does not just mean language, but also ideas and thoughts between people. It is a better word here. I do not know what you mean by "hateful." Does he hate that this is difficult?
"Love Affair!?" panel 3:
This panel is fine.
"Love Affair!?" panel 4:
(Shepard's text is fine.)
Liara and Javik: I have no idea what "the joint book" is. Knowledge, maybe?
Text: "When did they suddenly become close?"
I apologize for the length of this, but I hope it is helpful! If not, feel free to ignore it! Also, feel free to ask questions, if you want, and I will try to answer. Thank you for sharing your art!
Because it is in condition not to understand English at all, I of me am saved very much. You think that it was serious. Thank you very much for careful comment while you're busy. I am thankful for the English translation of the lines that had you write it in the comment and use it.
I read comment.
Terrible expression having been included in lines in a product. You think that it was unpleasant.
Really sorry.
The comment read through a translation site, but is not sure to be answered for a matter asked you a question exactly.
I am very generous, but let me explain contents and the situation of comics.
You should have you paraphrase it from there.
I read what always washed hands to wipe it out on the Internet that Javik only touched it in a game main volume and could know the memory of various things.
As for the comics of the first and the second, it becomes the base.
"It is the first protection ," but becomes "the covering fire" when I translate a title in Japanese literally. It is the feeling that Liara responds to in Javik.
Javik understood the etiquette of the restroom for the time being, but did not wash a hand during a search in the washroom in the restroom not to have really added business, and to wash a hand in the room where oneself stayed in again. It was blamed.
I clean Prothean, and, in Liara, they do not perform the excretion acts only in these comics…I finish believing that the idol never goes to the restroom.
And I enter among quarrelling two people and make a remark to protect Javik.
The second comics…I reconsider the title.
It is Liara which is apt to always stay indoors in a room, but looks in secret when Javik comes to the same floor by these comics.
Javik reads her memory remaining in several places of the floor and asks Shep to do something.
Even if Shep reads the memory of "Liara in it, does it not become unpleasant? I make fun of "and him.
The third comics make the state that the love relations may show on purpose. It is according to title.
The reason why lines are sudden is that Shep watched two people from this scene.
The matter that seemed to write a monograph of Prothean with Javik at the game main volume, a terminal of Liara was written.
They make the meeting of the book.
I reply for a long time and am sorry.
I do not know whether you can convey it exactly through a translation site, but think that even you can lend the hand again if good.
No apology is needed for your use of an obscene word. You said you are weak in English, so we forgive.
Translation sites are not very good yet, but you provided many answers to my questions. Thank you! I will try to provide more help....
Far Right Column:
Text: "Let's Wash Hands!" (I should note that in English we would never say, "Let's Wash a Hand!" That would mean washing a single hand with no person attached!
"Covering" title
"The covering fire" could mean protection, but in English this would be too strong a term. It would describe the protection of a god, or a protection that consumes the thing it tries to protect. It is too much for Liara, I think, and way too much for protecting your hands from germs. It is too personal for germs. Thank you, though. I think I now understand what you are saying! I think what you mean is "care" or "caring for." In this column, Javik cares for his hands, Shepard cares for Javik by allowing him to ask questions, and Liara cares for Javik by trying to protect him.
"Covering" Column, panel 3:
Javik: What?? I was merely exploring the warship!"
"Covering" Column, panel 4:
Hahahahaha! Liara is cute with her idolizing of Javik!
"A Scholar of Asari Watches This" panel 1:
Text: "The reclusive asari sneaks out to watch when Javik comes on her floor..." "Reclusive" is a good word for Liara. I think EDI uses it at one time in the English game. It means staying indoors all the time and not talking to people much unless they come to find you.
"A Scholar of Asari Watches This" panel 4:
Shepard: "If Liara touched it, is it ok not to wash it?"
Javik: "Nonsense! You're just trying to avoid cleaning!"
"Love Affair!?" panel 1:
I still do not understand what you mean. You say, "It is wrong. It is your understanding." I do not know what "it" refers to here. That is making it difficult for me to understand.
"Love Affair!?" panel 2:
I still do not understand what you mean by "hateful." What is Javik hating?
"Love Affair!?" panel 4:
I think there is another language barrier here. In Japanese, does the "meeting of the book" mean holding hands? Like [link] ? Does [link] = "the meeting of the book"?
Sorry my response is still long, but it is getting shorter! We will get this translated!
I understand my poor explanation, and thank you very much.
I did not think that I had it be understood to here possibly.
The edition of ME in Japan is because translation is abbreviation and worsened one, and myself cannot understand a scenario of ME exactly.
I used the lines that you translated into English and revised part of file of comics.
The part which cannot answer it properly revised it by oneself, but is glad if you can give an advice.
I really appreciate it.…!
I am sorry the Japanese version of the game is hard to understand. It is a complicated story and hard to understand in English sometimes, but it is worse for you because it is translated and missing parts.
The title is still not quite right. Just, "Let's wash hands!" Not "a hands." It does not follow English rules, but it is how we say it.
With the changes you made to "Love Affair," I think I finally understand it.
"Love Affair!?" panel 1:
This panel is fine.
"Love Affair!?" panel 2:
Javik: "I thought that I could easily communicate with you, but I was wrong. It's irritating." In English, we like to refer to things, even if it is clear what the things are. We do not usually say "irritating" or "pretty" without also saying the thing that is irritating or pretty. If the thing is not a person, we say "it's." So, "It's irritating" or "It's pretty." Japanese is more efficient, and uses less words to say the same thing.
"Love Affair!?" panel 4:
Shepard's dialogue is fine.
Javik and Liara: "We are writing a prothean thesis together."
Thank you again for letting me help, and for answering my questions! I hope more people can read it in English and enjoy it now!
